Review devices linked to WhatsApp
WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp on a computer can read all your messages. Make sure there's no device you don't recognize.

Open linked devices
On Android: tap the three dots ⋮ at the top ← "Linked devices". On iPhone: "Settings" ← "Linked devices".

Review the list
You'll see every device linked to your account, with the last active time for each.
Tip: Any device you don't recognize, or an old device you no longer use — log it out right away.

Log out the device
Tap the device ← "Log out".

If you found a strange device
Turn on two-step verification if it isn't on, and check your sent messages. If messages you didn't write were sent from your account, warn your contacts another way.
Tip: Someone only needs a few seconds to scan a QR code from your phone to link their device. Don't leave your phone unlocked with others, and never scan a QR code someone sent you.
